Green Constitutional Congress (Tonight)


DENVER, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ — The Green Constitutional Congress: A Symposium of the Future of Environmental Action will bring together the most influential grass-roots and policy players of the sustainability movement, and will be held on the first day of the Democratic National Convention, Monday August 25, 2008 at the Buell Theater. The Green
Constitutional Congress is one part of Dialog:City, a multiple exhibit examination of democracy, art, and technology that is sponsored by the Denver Office of Cultural Affairs that is being held concurrently as the Democratic National Convention. Bruce Mau, the preeminent expert on the use of design thinking to address global challenges, will be the moderator of the symposium. Key speakers include Majora Carter (Sustainable South Bronx), Former Senator Gary Hart (Presidential Climate Action Project), Jonathan Greenblatt (GOOD Magazine), William S. Becker (Presidential Climate Action Project),) and Charlie Cannon (RISD). Bruce Mau will be guiding the conversation of The Green Constitutional Congress with In Good We Trust, a recently launched multi-year examination of American foreign policy being conducted by Mau and his design agency, Bruce Mau Design (BMD), as a follow up to the internationally acclaimed exhibit and ensuing movement, Massive Change. Mau and BMD orchestrated an innovative construction of the symposium which will grant audience members direct engagement with featured speakers following the general discussion through video and audio media.
